Links and Local Attractions
We're kind of partial ourselves (since our home is in Cornish), but we recommend that guests at Two Rivers Lodge head to Cornish to find virtually anything they need while staying at our cabin. Just 18 minutes east of the lodge, Cornish is an historic village with abounding charm and its proximity makes it perfect for exploring and day trips. It's not unheard of for travelers from other New England states to be driving through Cornish and suddenly decide that they want to live here...at least a dozen of our neighbors landed in our town for that exact reason! And while I did note that we're a little partial to our friendly and quaint town, others agree; Cornish placed second in a large poll of Maine's best small towns.
In Cornish you can meet almost all of your basic needs. We have a gym/fitness center, moderately-sized grocery store, library with internet access, Dunkin Donuts, Subway, two pizza places, a great veterinarian's office, hardware store, excellent seafood restaurant, numerous antiques and craft shops, two upscale restaurants, a post office, printery, hair salons, and more. Below are some of the links...but keep in mind that this is rural Maine after all, so most businesses haven't quite gotten around to creating websites--or in a lot of cases, don't even have an email address.
