Shorter days, longer nights...

As we switch from Fall into Winter mode here in Maine, we're getting those last-minute projects done to get ready for the massive amounts of snow and ice that the Farmer's Almanac predicts for the winter of 2011.  The firewood is stacked, a beautiful enamel air-tight woodstove is installed (thanks Mom and Dad!), and a canoe/kayak rack built to store watercraft on for the season.  Although we already miss swimming in the rivers, we're looking forward to hunkering down and relaxing a bit over the winter with books, movies, and craft projects.  And of course the newly tuned- snowmobiles will make the passage from summer to winter a little less painful, too.  :)
